There is a distinction between an Angel and a Cherub, but sometimes they are used interchangeably. Angels are characterized as spiritual beings are believed to be adults or mature Beings that carry out spiritual duties while the term Cherub is said to originate from the Hebrew term, "kĕrūḇ" which means child like. Based on this finding a Cherub is considered to be a very young child no greater than 1 year who has not yet begun to walk or talk or a baby angel.

Gold plated jewelry varies across manufacturers and designers which may lead to varying qualities. However, Versace gold chains are beautiful and robust pieces with genuine weight. You should note that gold plated jewelry is not the same as a solid gold pieces with karatage of 10k, 12k, 14k 18k up to 24k. For a metal to be considered Gold it has to be at least 41.7% pure Gold as a part of its total weight. Solid gold will keep its color forever through years of wear and tear, unlike Gold Plated jewelry. Solid Gold might lose its shine, but the piece can be re-plated by a certified jeweler.
What is Gold Plating or Gold Plated Jewelry?
Gold Plated Jewelry is made with a base metal which is then electroplated with gold. Usually a steel or brass item dipped into a bath of electroplating solution that deposits a thin layer of gold on the jewelry. This thin layer of gold may be applied more than once to improve the quality and longevity of the chain or jewelry.
How to care for your new Versace gold plated chain and or jewelry?
You can use some of these points for solid gold pieces or other materials also.
1. Avoid water: especially sea water / salt water and water with chlorine.
2. It's an luxury piece, hence its not for everyday of the week.
3. Very important note! Avoid or minimize contact of your Versace chains or jewelry from clashing with other jewelry that may scrape or damage the plating over time.
4. You will receive a case, box or pouch for your Versace chain or jewelry. Store it/them in this container when the chain or jewelry is not being worn. This helps protect the chain from abrasions, moisture and dust particles. This will make your Versace chain last longer and maintains its shiny lustre.
5. In case you do damage the plating on the Versace chain by accident or due to wear and tear from years of use (ex. Vintage pieces), a certified jeweler can re-plate it for you at a cost.

Its only completion is the ubiquitous cross necklace which has been around since the inception of Christianity. The Jesus piece can be seen on celebrities in the music, sports, acting among others. American athletes such as Cleveland Cavaliers NBA player Lebron James and musicians in the Hip-Hop industry are wearing the Jesus Piece. The pair released an extravagant piece made from solid gold, featuring a crown of thorns fully encrusted with diamonds on the Jesus piece head, along with two sparkling VVS diamond eyes and blood red rubies that formed tears flowing down the Jesus piece face.
Although Kanye and Jacob are commonly credited with inventing the Jesus piece, long-time hip-hop fans may recall seeing a similar piece around the neck of the Notorious B.I.G. in the mid-1990s. He even rapped about it in “I Love the Dough” on his posthumous “Life After Death” album in 1999 with the lyrics ““You seen the Jesus…Even got rocks in the beard and mustache.” The pendant is believed to have been created by the original OG designer, Tito.
Other early rap artists who have been discovered wearing the iconic image made by the New York City jeweler include Ghostface, Lil Cease, D-Roc, and Prodigy. In fact, a baby face Jay-Z appears on the cover of the hip-hop magazine, XXL, in December 1999 sporting a gold Jesus piece. ]]>Gold is a naturally occurring element within the earth. The below image depicts a handful of gold nuggets.
Gold is usually mixed with other metals and alloys such as copper and silver to obtain yellow gold or nickel, zinc and copper for white gold.
It is usually characterized by dense, soft, malleable and ductile properties with a bright yellow color and luster. These properties remains unchanged or altered when exposed to air or water. This process of alteration is known as tarnishing.
Gold is a highly sought after precious metal and is used primarily for coinage, jewelry purposes and on a smaller scale for medicinal, dentistry, electronics and architecture. Its value is rooted in its medial rarity, easy handling, smelting, non-corrosiveness, distinct color, among other properties most metals lack.
Due to its perceived value gold is used in many ceremonial practices in the form of trophies, medals and other decorations.
What is Karat?
This is the unit representation for measuring gold. There are several karat types for gold. The Karat refers to the proportion of solid gold to another metal alloy used to make the jewelry piece or item. This representation is usually marked on the piece of jewelry or object with a numerical value followed by kt (Karat). Similarly, diamonds are measured using Ct (Carat) and are a different measurement from gold Karat. However, Kt may be used interchangeable outside of the US for Ct.
Pure or fine gold is 24 Karat. However, due to the softness it is not ideal for jewelry construction. The minimum fineness for gold in the US is 10 Karat. Below this mark it is not described as gold, even with the karat designation. Jewelry in the US that is gold usually is 10, 14, 18 or 22 Karat.

What is Gold Filled?
The application of gold to another metal alloy by mechanical means such as heat and pressure and the weight of the gold is a minimum of 1/20th of the total weight of the metal, this is considered Gold Filled. The Quality of gold that is typically utilized is 10k, 12k or 14k gold. Gold filled jewelry contains a thicker portion of gold over a base metal such as brass than a gold plated jewelry would have over the same metal or any other base metal.
What is Gold Plating?
The application of gold to a base metal via electro-plating is considered to be Gold Plated. The layer of gold for a gold plated jewelry is usually more than 20 millionth of the total weight of the metal or it is greater than 0.5 Micron.
Gold filled and gold plating jewelry might have the same unit of gold covering the base metal. The thickness of gold is solely dependent on the manufacturer which may employ a heavy gold plating method to base metal, rendering it as valuable as a gold filled piece or even above.

What is Stainless Steel?
The chromium and other alloying elements in stainless steel keeps the metal bright and rust resistant in spite of moisture or the action of corrosive acids and gases.
Chromium in stainless steel combines with oxygen in the atmosphere to form a thin, invisible layer of chrome-containing oxide, called the passive film. The sizes of chromium atoms and their oxides are similar, so they pack neatly together on the surface of the metal, forming a stable layer only a few atoms thick. If the metal is cut or scratched and the passive film is disrupted, more oxide will quickly form and recover the exposed surface, protecting it from oxidative corrosion.
Because of their shining surfaces, architects often use them for decorative purposes. Stainless steels are used for the pipes and tanks of petroleum refineries and chemical plants, for jet planes, and for space capsules. Surgical instruments and equipment are made from these steels, and they are also used to patch or replace broken bones because the steels can withstand the action of body fluids. In kitchens and in plants where food is prepared, handling equipment is often made of stainless steel because it does not taint the food and can be easily cleaned.
